Candidates with previous Dealers Assistant, Adviser support (from either a stockbroking or financial planning background) or investment operations experience will be highly regarded. In addition, top tier candidates will also possess:

They are Melbourne’s largest garden and building supply business with 5 outlets across metropolitan Melbourne, located in Alphington (Northcote), Hawthorn East, Cheltenham, Wantirna and soon to be Rosebud. Their business specialises into delivering garden and building supplies to the trade and retail customer and are Melbourne’s largest bulk firewood supplier (both to home and retail customer) running a fleet of 70 assets ranging from small to large tippers as well as truck and trailers and semi-trailers.
More importantly, they are looking for the following employee’s at present;

  • Office persons at our Hawthorn East depot.
    • taking phone orders from trade and retail customers into POS system
    • taking counter orders both trade and retail
    • it is a high intensity environment
    • required good social and phone manner
    • hours are Mon-Fred 7am to 4pm
    • we are happy to employ part time or multiple persons covering job share
    • at present we have both students and return to work mums on desks throughout the business


  • Truck Drivers
    • Tipper truck drivers delivering bulk products
    • Product ranges from sand, soil, cement bags etc
    • There is some manual handling with cement bags
    • Truck sizes ranges from 2 metre to 10 metre tippers
    • Manual gear box
    • Hours 7am to 4pm
    • Both full time and casual
    • Jobs require minimum light rigid licence
    • Must be flexible on hours


  • Warehouse/Yard/labouring Roles
    • Manual labouring roles
    • Bagging sand, soils, mulch
    • Packing 15kg firewood bags
    • Combination of truck driving and manual labour work is preferred

They already have a number of university students throughout the business but I must stress flexibility in hours is required. This is perfect for a young country kid looking for a city start!
Michael is also willing to look at persons interested in a career path to depot management. This is not a starting position as all managers are trained through the ranks of the operations.
