Richmond Netball Club

OGS White

Monday nights game overall was a solid effort from the OGS white girls, playing as strongly as we could with only six players. The first quarter was close trailing only by a few goals with both teams utilizing the ball well. The second quarter saw the margin increase by a few more towards the opposition. The final half saw us fall behind the other team, with them converting more and more goals against us. Despite not winning this round it was overall a really impressive effort from the girls. The more games played together are seeing us develop a game play that works for us and as a result converting more goals on the scoreboard.
Stand out players were Becky Ingleton in centre and Katrina Toone in defence and shooting!

Final Score: Loss 24-14

Wednesday night’s game proved to be challenging yet successful, with the Cosmos bringing a tough competition. With two players away, the team was left with seven players so everyone brought their A-game, with the dynamic working so well that minimal changes were needed throughout. Some great goal work in the ring from Annabel Rafferty and Emma Szepe, aided by some impressive intercepts by Jess Sleigh and Madde McCartney in the mid court, succeeding many times in bringing the ball back down our end. An overall successful and well-played game.

Final Score: Win 25-18

OGS Black

Last night's game was played well, even under the very competitive conditions. The opposition played a very intense game but we were able to match their skills with good communication and cooperation. Even though the score didn't compliment our teamwork, together we were happy with our performance as we tried hard. Ella stood out as she played really well in both shooter and defence as well as Mimi in centre court.

Final Score: Loss

It was great to see Liv back. Spirits were initially high but we quickly realised we were playing a team that were tricky with their skills and our attitudes quickly arose to this test. Melbourne's weather proved once again to be super helpful with torrential rain.
Big thank-you to Charlie Barham for filling in.
