OGS Netball Scores Round 5

Richmond Netball Club

OGS White

The girls came out with a loss but have started to working together as a team, and the expectations for the next game are for a stronger performance again. The girls really tested the other team who were runners up in last seasons grandfinal for division 1. The scores were tight all the way through and Annabelle Shannon's leads down the court showed a strong presence against the other team. Becky Ingleton was gaining intercepts consistently but due to the other teams GD being so tall, it was difficult for our shooters to slot them through.

Once OGS white push through a couple more games together they'll no doubt be a contenders for a good season ahead.

Final Score: Loss 11-20

OGS Green

This week we absolutely flogged them. You could basically say the competition didn't rock up with some players from the opposing team and never have seen a netball court let alone the ball. We smoked them in agility, accuracy and just overall netball skill.
Final score: Win 44-2

OGS Pink

Final Score: Win 18-15

OGS Blue

Round 4 was a great round for the OGS Sky Blue team. Our opponents, Bae, found it very difficult to get the ball into the ring, which was reflected on the scoreboard. Notable performances come from of our gentle giant Nicola, paired with the speedy Raff who doubled as a great shooting team. The opposition team had forgotten we played in the same division last season and noted how strong we were. The girls ended up dominating the court all round.

Final Score: Win 33-19

OGS Red

This week's game was a really enjoyable and well-played game of netball. We had a sluggish start and the opposition managed to get ahead by 7 goals within the first quarter, however we managed to pull things together over the second quarter. We were heading into the second half of the game hoping to have a faster and cleaner game as we were still down by 7 points. The third quarter was definitely our best however we only managed to catch up by 3 goals, meaning we were still down by 4 going into the final quarter. Unfortunately, we weren't able to score enough to win the game but nonetheless we played a solid game of netball and had a lot of fun in the process! Shout outs go to Emme Richardson and Julia Clarke for outstanding performances on the court!

Final Score: Loss 23-26

OGS Black

Win: Opposition forfeited.
