Keeping up appearances

A number of Club personnel took part – a day early, but after a Saturday morning training run – in the somewhat recent Clean Up Australia Day efforts by working in the area of Como Park, the hills up the back, and around the river banks across the road, with some of the items collected being described, at best, as interesting.

The observations made by new Director of Football Nick Bourke about the Club needing official uniform from the start of training for 2017 are strongly reinforced by this photo, but we do thank those who contributed on the day and John Forster who did the organising.

Making a contribution in the locality in which we exist is an important part of the Club’s Mission Statement. Amongst other items on the list for later in the year will be another clothing drive (almost certainly on the day of the first Pivot Lunch, May 28th, and a triple-header at Como), this year probably in support of the MECWA Opportunity Shop in Prahran, and also some further work with SecondBite.
